As the website version of the Italian magazine Motociclismo reported, the final round of the 2014 Italian Championship (CIV), which is taking place this weekend at the Mugello circuit, features two regular riders from the WSBK paddock. Italy’s Claudio Corti, currently racing for the MV Agusta Reparto Corse in the World Superbike class, will have a one-off ride aboard the F3 675 of Team Laguna Racing, whilst the 2014 STK1000 title winner Leandro Mercado is taking part to the event on the Barni Racing Team’s Ducati 1199 Panigale R in the Superbike class. The Argentinean rider has ended on top the first free practice session.

Multiple race winner and long time WSBK rider Michel Fabrizio is making his on track return as he joined Team Ellan Vannin Motorsport MV in the Supersport class.
